For those of us R1S drivers with FOMO over the lack of a gear tunnel step, has anyone tried using a door latch step?

I'm looking at the Tooenjoy, but curious if others have had good experiences with fit/functionality for other models.

Not worth it IMO. The risk of bending that metal latch and having to get that replaced just seems like it would be a straight up headache. Also likely not to be covered by warranty due to location and it would take an act of God to bend that part without damaging anything else in the vicinity.

I wouldn't do it for the reasons already mentioned. I carry a collapsible two step stool (like this). Let's me get to anywhere on top.

Yeah I can’t recommend this either as I just proved it dents the door jam in my R1S so learn from me if anything.

I have a similar type latch step. I got it to use so I'd be able to reach the roof when I wash my truck or if I add a roof basket, but it doesn't really work well for me. You can't stand straight up and get balanced because of the roofline of the door, so you are constantly grabbing the truck fighting falling over. Also if you were to forget it is attached and try to shut the door you would probably mess up your door and latch pretty good. Now it just sits in my door pocket for emergency because it has a glass breaker on it too.
