So this seems to be a recurring issue for me and I wanted to see if others are seeing the same issue: After a cold night (lately temps in the 30's and 40's at night), in the in the morning when I first start the R1T, I get a "motor fault detected" warning. The vehicle drives fine, and the fault usually goes away after a sleep cycle. I already took the truck in to service about a month ago for the same issue where Rivian Service attributed to faulty 12V batteries and replaced the 12 V batteries. I don't now if this is glitch in the software, or if there's still a lingering mechanical issue that wasn't detected by Rivian Service? Have you guys encountered similar recurrent "motor fault detected" errors after cold nights?

Temps in the 30s and 40s is quite a warm night. I don’t get any faults at those temperatures other than an occasional regen limited due to battery temperature. When it’s actually cold, down near zero or below, I frequently get turtle mode until I’ve driven a mile or so and the battery has warmed up some.

Bump.

Just installed the the new update and I was hoping it was a software issue that would have been sorted out with the new update, but nope...till keeping coming up in the morning and gone after a sleep cycle. It'll stay gone for the rest of the day until the next morning. Hard and soft resets done multiple times but still reoccurs. Highly annoying...even more so is that the soonest service appointment is in April!

Anyone else had this issue, and if so, what was the cause?

I’ve had a full winter of cold Minnesota nights and have not had that warning ever appear.

I no longer think it's related to the weather as I initially suspected. Something else is amiss...just bugging the crap out of me that I have no idea what it is.
