Rec'd my R1T a couple weeks ago & couldn't be happier. A couple things have come up that are of concern or interest. The biggest issue is the remote lock/unlock feature that I have setup thru my phone's app & I carry the credit card style "key" in my wallet. For the most part it unlocks most of the time but with the phone in my pocket & wallet in pocket, it often just sits idle until I open the app. So consistency is the problem, anyone run into this?

If you're on Android, you need to set the battery to unrestricted mode, and likely also make sure the "Pause app activity if unused" is set to off, how this is done depends largely on who makes your phone.

If you're on an iPhone make sure Location is set to Always.

That is a known issue where there are delays opening especially when the vehicle is sleeping. There is another fix in the latest OTA to address this but since it only started being deployed yesterday not enough time to see if there are improvements or not.

I find if the phone is in my hand when I approach it works better. Not a problem for me as I do not leave it in my pocket while I’m driving.

On Android (Pixel 6) and I frequently had to open my phone to get the vehicle to unlock and even sometimes had to toggle bluetooth to get it to 'start.'

It's improved vastly the last 2 vehicle updates, for sure. I have to do that MUCH less, and it's MUCH more responsive.

The Bluetooth toggle is a fairly frequent thing for me too (iPhone 14/beta IOS, but it's always been an issue). I still carry the keycard with me, for that 'special time' when the phone just cannot unlock it. I don't carry any other cards generally, so it's a bit of a pain. The Tesla cards go straight in a safe, never had a need for them, I wish I could trust the Rivian app just a little but more.

I use the PaaK on my phone (Google Pixel 3 XL) and carry the fob in my pocket (as a backup) and a keycard in my wallet (backup #2). As others have said, make sure the phone isn't set to put the app to sleep, or anything like that. Have never had a problem. Yet. ?

I keep the Rivian app open in the background on my iPhone but it still will not unlock the truck unless the phone is 'awake'.
Sometimes I leave the phone in my back pocket with the screen facing out and then I just tap on the screen through my pocket to wake it and it works fine.
