Rivian App 2.4.0 available

TIL iOS Shortcuts. I've had iPhones since the 3 but was not aware of iOS Shortcuts (or Widgets) until this thread. Normally I love this kind of stuff - I have probably blown a man year of my life creating macros and automations for various platforms over the past few decades.

This thread also really requires paying attention - "Shortcuts" on iOS are enabled quite differently from Android...and when folks say "screen" they could mean the mobile or Rivian screen. And "app"...<sigh>

So now I have a Rivian shortcut on my iOS Home screen. While I am puzzled that Rivian didn't show up in "Shortcuts" (apparently you can check the App Store to see if an app supports Siri) it's not too hard to hit the "+". And while I could not find "supports Siri" in the iOS App Store, I did notice that that the Rivian claims to app support "Wallet".

So now my life is a bunch of Alexa automations (and I use Alexa quite a bit while in the Rivian because I find the touchscreen distracting while driving). And how I have my first Siri automation (actually there are a few more...I had been prompted in the past to create a shortcut for something and then didn't know what happened ). And <sigh> I have Google automation for my new Yale house locks. The WAF of all this is less than zero.

Do the shortcuts allow for cabin preconditioning? Then I could finally put it on a timer. That would be long overdue.

I have the updated app but see none of these fetuers. I go to add a widget and no Rivian in my list of options. What am I missing???

From the iPhone, open the shortcut app, on the top right click on the plus sign, on the next screen click add action, on the next screen click the apps tab, scroll down and you should see Rivian.

For some reason it does not show in searches but is there in the apps list.

I created an unlock shortcut on my iPhone, but it doesn't show up as a choice in the Apple Watch app that lets you assign a shortcut to the action button. Has anyone gotten a Rivian shortcut to work on their Apple Watch Ultra?

Oh hell yes! Shortcuts. New widget on my Home Screen. Now they just need native widgets that work faster.

I don’t see these widgets as available on my 13 pro. ?

Make sure you enable for use on you watch by hitting the “i” in the shortcuts app on your phone and then toggle the button to “Show on Apple Watch”.

That worked! Thank you very much. I wasn't using the action button previously, but now it's great to have the unlock function on my watch

Wait.... Now THE R1S doesn't show blue around the charging port when plugged in at home (meaning it's outside of set charging hours) it's just unlit and doesn't seem to be connected to the charger? Is it going to charge? What's going on here?

However, after a minute or so it went white and then blue again. Weird lol.

If you have a iPhone 15 Pro with the Action button you can make a shortcut menu, I just added “Unlock R1T” and “Open Frunk” to my shortcut menu that pops up when I press the action button.

I really like that we can now see what windows are open.

Looks like I have the updated Android version; I see the new toggle for lock/unlock. Don't see any widget functionality yet.

Is that supposed to be coming?

Shortcuts are there just not automatically visible, go to shortcuts, apps, rivian app, and you will see the options. For the open screen open a door, you will see an alert, drag down on main screen to see what is open.

I take it that not for Android yet....
