Ok so I did latest software update enabling Rivian assistant. The problem is that it cancels out Alexa app.
You can’t switch from one to the other!
Rivian you have to fix this problem!

Quite a few posts on this. It is an absolute MISS by Rivian for Amazon Music alone....

Rivian assistant won’t answer who the baddest b!tch is either (no like cus words). But it does know the terminal velocity of an unladen swallow.

I don't know if its me, but when I would say "Alexa" it would respond, pretty quickly. But "Hey Rivian" or "Okay Rivian" There is a long pause before it answers. Is it just me. I find myself holding the left button down to use it.

Also "Thaddeus" my truck name wants me to change the voice to a male voice, but it can't :-( Put that on the wish list.

Rivian Assistant doesn’t work perfectly and solve world peace right out of the gate, therefore it sucks. Geesh people, give it a chance!

Correct, Rivian Assistant has its shortcomings TODAY, but personally, I’ve already found productive uses for it in its current state. It will only improve and become more responsive and robust over time…this isn’t a “one and done” thing.

BTW, rather than complain about how it doesn’t meet every single one of YOUR specific use cases hours after its release, Rivian provides a means of reporting issues and suggestions for improvements that might be more productive than shaking your fists and yelling at the clouds.

Just my .02 cents.

I for one am pretty encouraged by the capabilities of RA. Sure, it has issues like any other early SW reveal, but the pros vastly outnumber the cons. I bet we’ll get Amazon Music back, for instance.

I do have one question though. Perhaps it “just doesn’t do that yet,” but has anyone been able to get messages to pop up on screen when they come in? Right now I have to know there’s a new message and tell RA to read it before it visually populates the center screen and is read aloud by RA. I’ve re-connected my phone, checked all the settings that it tells me to, and done a soft reset on my ‘25 R1S. No joy…
