When is the first vehicle delivery to occur? Last I checked, it was September 2021 starting date for R1T.

I imagine some people will be receiving their vehicles just hours from now?

Anyone want to place any bets?

I predict RJ announcing delay of R1T deliveries in the 2nd or 3rd week of September - pushing the delivery dates back to November/December
Just stop.

I am seriously wondering. Sept is next week; people should be getting deliveries just hours from now. Won’t people have their actual delivery dates and times by now?
Either you don't know the difference between the words "in" and "by" or you're intentionally obtuse. Either way, I'll gladly make a bet that Rivian will deliver vehicles to customers in the month of September consistent with the current timeline.

If I win, you find somewhere else to troll.

They have issues with a lot of definitions. They think 2.75 years is half a decade.

I say we just stop feeding the troll. Might be my second account to block, very possibly the same person.

First time I've interacted since I decided they're more than likely a troll and not a sincere person. Trying to give them a chance here to acknowledge the difference. But yes, I'm close as well.

My guide said they were all pretty excited because pre-holder vehicle configurations were on the floor, which was a change from previous, mules etc.

This is fantastic news! So from now on the Factory floor pictures could be one of our trucks!

Have you actually "locked" anything in though?
It would seem until they say your deposit is non-refundable and you commit to a configuration, they wouldn't have the actual configurations on the floor.

I know these aren't built to order, but what is a "pre-holder configuration" if it isn't locked in?

There aren't that many permutations of R1T. Limited colors, and ultra-limited option packages... Rivian could easily run initial production based on what LE reservations show, and even if your final selections change, that unit will go to someone who wants it.

Oh good.
So I just need everyone ahead of me to change their mind to whatever is NOT on the floor and I will adjust my configuration to whatever matches the floor units. Cool, cool cool cool.

This is a really good point. For launch edition there are 10 colors x 3 interior options = 30 possible permutations. This is assuming that it's relatively easy to bolt on an off road package. All the other configurations are easy to add or remove (wheels, spare tire, camp kitchen, etc.).

For the Launch Edition R1S, it's the same 30 permutations because all of them will ship in the 7-seat configuration.
