Rivian Horrible customer/Service support

Sounds cosmetic minus the trip planner. May we have the reason for the multiple resets and bad customer service?
Counting my appointment tomorrow I have had 10 appoints for my R1T at the Normal SC. 41 items will have been addressed. I have never had a bad experience with the group at Normal. The bad thing is the 10 appointments???. Over the phone there isn't anything else they can do except tell you to reset. The proximity thing/PAAK in general is annoying, but not something I get upset about. The truck unlocking via the phone, and then telling me there is no key in the car so I have to dig the card out of my wallet & put it up against the door is another one. Those things are minor and I can always carry the fob if I don't like it. I'm glad I'm only a 45 min drive from the SC though; if I was 2-3 hrs I would likely feel differently.

I get what you’re saying. Issues that require a trip to the SC are frustrating. I’ve had some as well.

But I don’t think customer service has been horrible.

Rivian Customer service is horrible, everything they say is reset/restart for any issue. No proper solution. Rivian App planner does not work on Samsung phones, they ask to reset the vehicle, no idea sometimes what they talk. I had a small scratch on driver side at delivery, which they tried to buffing at my home, did not work. Proximity sensor is a big joke, I need to turn off at my home is not a convenient feature otherwise it keeps locking/unlocking when I walk in the garage. I think based on few conversions with Rivian service contacts, the people here in this forum I feel have better knowledge than the customer service/service center. Sorry my experience is not that great.
I have had a Samsung Fold and now S23, and have had no problems whatsoever. The SCs are trying the best they can to get it right and trying to fix all of our concerns.

Stop saying " Samsung phones" because mine (and wife's) works flawlessly with the vehicle.
(S22+ & S23Ultra).
I'm sorry you are having all these technical difficulties ☹.

Rivian has given us the option to turn off proximity locking/unlocking at home for exactly the issue you describe. So, toggle that option and one of your problems is immediately solved. Hooray!

I get what you’re saying. Issues that require a trip to the SC are frustrating. I’ve had some as well.

But I don’t think customer service has been horrible.
That is what I mean. My SC experience has been frequent and excellent.

Here are the Issues I have currently for the recently delivered R1S max pack:
  • Samsung phones the Planner is not working/never worked
  • Scratch on the main driver door
  • Gap between charging pad and the trim(center console), they said trim need to be replaced
  • Torn carpet at the bottom of the passenger seat between seat and center console
  • White rim above the doors have the sharp edges at the bottom side
Oh, so rivian doesn't support your niche 3rd party app that no one else uses? Tell me more.....

Interesting. Does everything else in the Rivian app work with that phone?
