Looks like they started offering leases in Oregon today finally, the disclaimer at the bottom still doesn't list it but the calculator does. Sadly I don't see the configuration I want anymore, I guess I'll keep an eye out.

I wonder if any other new states were added today.

Are you looking to trade in the OG truck? If so, what are you looking to lease into? And why change it up?

I'm potentially in the same boat, so looking to have my feelings validated and my outlook challenged 🫠

Yeah I would, trade in or private sale would depend on the offer from Rivian. Biggest reason would be mileage on my current truck now over 55k.

On the 'upgrade' front I'd be looking at a Max Pack DM, OC, RUS, color TBD, don't care about wheels, No Tonneau
Ancillary Reasons going to DM Max pack from QM Large Pack:
  • 25% more range
  • 175 lbs more payload

I am not sure if they will release any updates post shutdown but that would be the reason to wait.

On the other hand maybe I should keep my truck until they ship my adapter 🙃

I already have my R1S, but still don't like not seeing Wisconsin on the list. 🙄

I am now going to have to choose between the two and am having a hard time believing it is 25%.
The tests & effICiency #'s show otherwise, having a hard time with the extra $10K
The extra payload is certainly a bonus however.

Has anyone tried leasing Rivian through an LLC you own in a state other than your residency? I live in NY but have a Montana LLC that is a legitimate business. Would be nice to avoid the NY tax...

Yeah I hear you the numbers don't quite add up. It is almost certainly at least 15% more range which is about what I lose with my camper. The numbers don't quite add up, battery capacity is 7.6% larger and then the DM is supposed to be ~7.5% more efficient so that brings us to at least that 15% increase.

Regardless I don't really want to buy a 2023 to replace my 2022 so I'll wait at least until some 2024 models come available again in my market in a configuration that has what I want.
