Rivian NACS Adapters begin arriving!

Picked up Rivian R1S 9/2023.
Received my email to verify address on 10/14/24.
Received order confirmation on 10/18/24 (stated 3-7 business day timeframe)
Received shipping confirmation today 10/22/24

Based on the tracking number, it should arrive today.

So once the email notification came out, it was pretty quick. But I certainly did wait a lot for my number to come up.

My adaptor has been shipped and is supposed to be here tomorrow. 9/23 delivery date on my R1T. I received the address confirmation email on 10/14/24. if it shows up tomorrow, that will be 10 days from address confirmation email to delivery. Not bad.

Well, darn. UPS tracking indicated my adaptor was out for delivery ? Sure enough, the UPS truck just showed up in my driveway. I went out to meet the guy. He was in the back of the van searching for it and searching for it and searching for it. Turns out it is MIA ? Jeez, all that wait and it goes missing in the last mile. Hope it shows up tomorrow. Don’t want to have to wrestle another one out of Rivian.

R1T 7/1/23 delivery 22XXX VIN, finally got my address confirmation email today 10/7/24

Received mine yesterday, just over two weeks from the address confirmation email.

I’m January of 2023 R1T delivery Vin 17xxx and still no ship email or adapter. Yes I did the confirmation the minute i received it on April 4th. ?

R1T 9270 VIN, July 22 delivery. R1S 30122 VIN, Dec 2023 delivery. R2 preorder.

Not any word on a shipment for either. Opted in for both.

Contacted customer service and they said that they have no control over when the NACS adapters are shipped. Manufactured by Tesla and Volex and “There's not much else either of us can do from either your end or our end.”

Then I see them pop up in the Gear Shop the day after this email.

love love love our Rivians, but this is a pretty crummy thing to do to customers.

The big day has arrived! I just received my NACS adapter today, I was surprised at how heavy it is. Can't wait to try it out at the local supercharger station and spread goodwill among my Tesla brethren.

I am sure they will be excited.

Just received the opt-in email

R1T VIN 15xxx, Dec 2022 build, Sep 2024 delivery (purchased new with 107 miles as a demo vehicle).

With the comments about all customers getting the adapter before January, I was a little concerned because I hadn’t received the opt-in email. Already purchased an A2Z unit that I’ll use as a backup since I did a long road trip 3 weeks after purchase. With me receiving the opt-in email, it does seem like they can get through the whole backlog by the end of the year.
