$40 for an induction cooktop from Best Buy (when it’s on sale)
$20 for a silicone sink from Amazon.
$100 for a foot pump water system? Can’t find this one.
$1500 for a gear shuttle.

Doable. But not as nice. $3000 worth of nice? Idk…
There is also $1000.00 if snow peak titanium camping gear dish set coffee press ect included in the camp kitchen.
I think the price is not bad for what you get.

They seem so...bitchy. Why are they complaining so much about the minutest of details? It's as if they are looking for things to complain about.
I agree!

It is a helpful review and they clearly like the truck. The nitpicking can be both annoying and useful, however it helps to avoid surprises so I see it as a net positive.

Their "review/Impressions" were..... I had to keep skipping ahead because their lack of general knowledge paired with research kept pissing me off. "There's no way for us to see our power consumption, we've had to calculate it ourselves" enter 5 minute bitch fest. Meanwhile I'm borderline screaming at the tv PUSH THE LEFT CONTROL ON THE STEERING MORONS!!!

"The sound quality is great (this comment surprised the hell outta me) but when adjusting the equalizer, the media player is in the way of some of the eq bands, that's really annoying" Wait, how often do you expect to be adjusting your eq settings that this becomes a pain point for you?

"I was expecting 350 miles of range. Epa says 316, but we only managed to get into the 290's" enter Adam yelling at the TV again "LOOK AT YOUR EFFIN WHEEL CHOICE!"

"The delivery process was painful" complain complain for minutes, then conclude with a quick quip about how they tried to skirt the delivery process by jumping into a district that was seeing deliveries to then bring it to where they were originally meant to register the vehicle. Wait, what? This is rivians fault?

Fist video in a while that I've watched and gone out of my way to hit the dislike button. It would be different if they did some research and then went into these things, but to try to come across as knowledgeable, whilst knowing sweet F-all about the vehicle they took delivery of is painful.

Why did these guys even buy the Rivian??? I kept throwing up every couple minutes of their vid. Dad would prompt son to say something bad (What do you think of that steering wheel? Son...Well, the stitching is kind of awkward. Dad: I didn't like the feel of the wheel. It just didn't have enough thickness...)
During the part when they talked about charging, and not being able to find any good chargers up to Montreal, Dad made some comment implying about all the Tesla Chargers on the route, then asked son to find the Rivian Chargers. Son: "There aren't any yet."
Duh...
Jeez... I'm with you @MountainBikeDude. First time I' posted a dislike to a video on YouTube in a long time.

They make some good points, specifically for me about the flex in the tunnel door. I can in some time...see it just won't quite sit flush anymore due to repeated flexing/bending.

As for orange peel, I've been so freaked out over it that I went out and looked at my 2021 Taco with an eye for orange peel. Ya know what, found it. Then I went to my wife's model S, found it. Toyota been building cars, millions of cars, for decades...still got orange peel.

Then there's the camp kitchen, great, build one. Let's see what it cost after time, labor, and materials (including equivalent cooking untensils)is totaled to see what it cost. And oh forgot, when it breaks who fixes it - ours is covered under Rivian's warranty!

Last point - so you brought that car that didn't comply with MA's inane vehicle laws into the state and then you have the audacity to blame Rivian? Yep just another dum#@55 Lib that can't accept your complicity in the illegal activity - yup just blame someone else.

Overall not honest, and is biased. But I watched it so they made money off me.

No doubt it's gonna be spendy, but then again, "The integrated nature of the Camp Kitchen, the easy removability, the "Ooh & Ahh!" factor when camping or tailgating? Priceless!"

Well, almost....

Great to have options, and thanks for listing where to find low-cost alternatives.

I agree there were a couple things they pointed out, that I've been a bit "hmm interesting choice" about. Specifically the gear tunnel door storage door and its latch. They remind me of an electrical panel door latch. Second was the door over the air compressor area, that too has always seemed quick to break off.

The rest was too frustrating to watch.

@dzmconstr the gear tunnel door weight rating is as I've always said "unacceptable".

250lbs... 190lbs with heavy backpack/rucksack and you're almost gonna bust the door off. Should be 350lbs.

But these two in the video? IDK... They seriously walked from the tailgate which they claimed truck people; who are working hard, with nasty dirty hands are gonna bang up the back, and scratch the paint. Their solition is to be gentle. Then in the same breath claim the gear tunnel doors aren't heavy duty, and the cover lid seems cheap and flimsy. Well guys, be careful. Seems to be the point right?

I was however of the opinion that an automatic tailgate close should've been an option.

The R1T is a truck, but a consumer truck, not a HD work truck. Actually an Adventure Vehicle. All the parts in question are of the same material, quality and durability, which is consistent.

Also... No beep with the frunk? What about having to completely unload you frunk with all you stuff if you want to get your charge cables? But the absence of a beep matters. And a motorized trunk lid doesn't concern you along the lines of long term reliability after repeated use, but the camp speaker lock has you scared? Again I'm more worried about the air suspension, andya know, the batteries long term.

However panel gaps, paint issues, THE OVERLY SMALL STEERING WHEEL (seriously someone measure it against a RR, F-150, and a Tacoma), the absence of a glove box (seriously dont get) and the weight rating for the gear tunnel doors I agree with them. I feel like they forgot the charging pad issue. It being to large and your phone sliding around too never charging.

The R1T is flat out amazing and comparing a truck to numerous sedans is pretty much pointless. I heard model 3 way too many times, let alone others to my dismay. Come on, you think they talk about Yaris MPG's when they're reviewing the Dodge TRX? Get over it!

Just frustrating to watch them complain about missing things that are actually there, and their unwillingness to educate themselves.

It’s all for the clicks, it would be a waste of their time to educate themselves if they get views just by putting Rivian in the title. It’s unfortunate but YouTube is rife with low effort creators.
