Is there any new information out there about possible future Rivian Service Centers? We are located in one of the severe Rivian service deserts. We are more than 300 miles from the nearest Rivian Service Center. This also puts us outside of any mobile service areas.

Rivian has now been delivering vehicles to customers for two years. It's about time that they expand their service capabilities to more pats of the country.

Brian
Well if they do you better hope they’re nothing like the Miami service center… you have absolutely no idea how bad those folks there are.

Feel free to give Rivian a few billion dollars and they'll execute your recommendations. Otherwise they'll stick to their plan.

Everyone has a plan/recommendation for Rivian of what they need to prioritize and Rivian is ignoring all the nonsense and noise to focus on executing their strategic plan. It never makes everyone happy, but that's the reality they are accepting moving forward with their plan.

Yes, of course. Rivian should make thousands more cars that they can't service. That's a great plan.

I get your discontent. I have some angst myself.

I think all we need to do is accept that 'it will come with time.' Especially whence the rollout of the R2 and R3 platforms, there will absolutely need to be reasonable and reliable, accessible support country-wide. But it's a chicken and egg thing. Rivian is hedging their bets, but (I assume) right now the math doesn't add up to exponentially scale service centers.

What we NEED TO DO is really root for the R2 and R3 to be as successful as we want to see them. More sales = more revenue. More Revenue = more cash flow to justify more service centers. More service centers = more local accessibility. More accessible = more sales. Rinse and repeat!

It stinks. I don't want to minimize your situation. BUT, we are still, notwithstanding, early adopters. We will have to shoulder this burden a bit longer. In the meantime, I dont' think it's too much to ask for mobile service whenever you need simple fixes and maintenance.

They are way behind on their plan for the seven additional centers in NY and NJ. Having just Boston, Brooklyn and Gaithersburg to cover half the eastern seaboard is ridiculous 2+ years into production.

Typical, shifting responsibility to Rivian for you buying one 300 miles away from a SC or moving somewhere after owning 300 miles away from a SC. Where did you take delivery, somewhere closer?

I'm not shifting anything. Rivian needs to get their crap together. I didn't move anywhere. I took delivery at the Facrory. It's time for Rivian to expand their service capabilities.
