Came across this while scrolling through my news feed this morning:

"Keeping up with the Jones’ ride. Rivians must be REALLY good vehicles, because there sure are a lot on our roads, usually in that one shade of green I don’t know the name of. I should call it Arvida, which was the name of my junior high school, which had a similar coloring with a touch more seasickness to it."

Central Oregon is the perfect environment for these vehicles. If anyone has visited their Spaces in Laguna Beach or Pasadena, Rivian highlights Bend as a destination on their interior wall charging map. Love seeing our community grow in C.O.

At one point a year ago there were more Rivians in Central Oregon than in the Portland Metro. It might still be true. Hopefully there will be an SC soon.

Had mine in for service at Taulatin in October. They were saying that they already have a site and it was scheduled for 2025. Hasn't appeared on any official lists yet, but I'm hopeful!

This is not a service center, but Rivian is adding to the adventure network with a new location in Tumalo.

So at least we are on their radar.

I could see RJ vacationing in Sunriver.
Then maybe there will be a L3 charger at Sunriver. Right now its a drive back to Bend for some L3 action. The lodge really needs to get those Tesla chargers working. Its been, what, 2 years?

I have been vacationing in Sunriver and Bend, Oregon for over 30 years. It is an outdoor mecca with any activity you want including excellent and very scenic off roading. Had tons of fun with my Jeep there over the years and now my R1S.

Bend (well technically more Redmond/Eagle Crest) was the first trip I took my new R1T on last summer. Need to go back and hit up more trails. Love it out there.

Can't wait for the RAN to open at Tumalo. We have been going to Bend for over 40 years. We eat at the Bite once or twice every trip and hit Tumalo Cider across the street as well.

That might be another indication that there's a lot of money in Bend. Seems like Bend has more banks per capita than anywhere else in Oregon.

Hope y'all do get a service center.

Yep, my first trip with my R1T in 2022 was to La Pine State Park with my ~8000 lb travel trailer. Miscalculated efficiency and had to charge for an hour at the 62kW station at the casino in Warm Springs. So happy when the Madras RAN got put in! (that trip was only my second charging session with the vehicle - I charged to 100% overnight before leaving; we got the truck only three days before the trip.)
