It's December 9th, and we still don't have a Christmas mode.

Hopefully they’ve binned that for this year while devoting developer resources to CarPlay/AA and ACC Resume functions.

…If Santa read my letter, that is.?

Fun Answer : more info and cooler looking displays that coorespond to off road modes and sport mode.

Less Fun Answer : allowing too many build quality issues to leave the assembly plant combined with an inadequate service team to fix them.

1. Messing around too long with the ill-conceived power R1T tonneau cover.

2. Failure to get a viable service system in place.

To quote Commander William Adama (Battlestar Galactica):
"You cannot play God then wash your hands of the things that you've created."

They tried to marginalize the tonneau issue... and were forced to accept the fact it's beyond a simple repair.

They are doing the same with the numerous blown and noisy half-shaft issue- telling people "it's normal", "they all make that noise".

Neither issue is "going away" on it's own.... and it's reassuring to see Rivian admitting the tonneau system needs a re-design. But, they also need to take responsibility for failing half-shafts that are disabling vehicles the day after delivery in some cases and others with less than 500 miles on them. These vehicles have a 5 year 60K mile warranty.... they're not even making 600 miles!

Half shafts are part of the drivetrain, no? So should be 8 yr, 175k i hope.
