Feature has been enabled since it was introduced. Don't know why, but half the time it doesn't move into or out of place on its own. Normally I can toggle the feature off and on and it'll work for a couple days, but then back to not working intermittently. I've even deleted and reprogrammed the position settings to no avail.

Yes, I know, "Create a work order." Given that this is almost certainly a software bug, I like to find out if it's just me or not before doing a work order.

So. Anyone else having this issue??? ?

Thanks!

Nope. The only issue I have with this feature is that the steering wheel will 'creep' down sometimes, requiring me to raise it up a notch and resave the driving position.

Yes I have noticed a similar issue with my truck. The feature works 90% of the time. Every once in a while I notice it won't engage when I'm exiting the vehicle. If I close the door, put it in drive, then park it will work when I open the door.

I gave up on the easy entry/exit. Seems like it was very inconsistent and if my wife's phone was first noticed (her profile didn't have easy entry setup) then I got in and switched profiles I had to wait for it to move my seat to easy entry, then to my profile before I tapped the pedal. If I got impatient and touched anything my seat and steering wheel would loose calibration. I typically have my steering wheel set where the rim lines up right at the top of the posted speed limit icon front center, and over time the wheel would gradually cover most of the speed limit sign. BTW running through the service recalibration procedure for seat and steering didn't seem to help any.

Note to Rivian software engineers: Can we please have multiple seat memories for each profile?

Yes it works inconsistently for me. I *think* it might be related to whether or not I leave the car locked or unlocked, since I only notice it at home, when I leave the car unlocked. My hunch is that when the car falls asleep while unlocked it does not fully cycle its state (in terms of occupied vs. unoccupied) so it does not run the easy entry routine and move the seat.

I have not noticed this problem at work, where the truck is always locked when I am not in it.

happen to me too. 2 issues.
1. from drive to park, the seat does not move to roomy position. (sometimes the seat starts moving when i release seat belt, sometimes the seat moves when opening the door, not sure why the difference. )
2. from park to drive, steel wheel does not return to driving position (10% of the time or less).

I also experience intermittent issues with this.

It also seems sometimes to 'decide' differently when to engage. Sometimes as soon as I put it in park, roomy exit initiates. Sometimes I have to open my drivers door.

Sometimes when I get in and put my foot on the brake the seat moves back into position. Sometimes I have to put it in drive.

It always inevitably gives me roomy exit.

However, the 5-10% of the time it doesn't move back into position, I simply toggle profiles between my wife and my driver profile and it puts my seat and steering wheel where I need them to be.

Now if only I could set a priority so that if my wife approaches before I do, but then I do, it'll read my profile. Because my wife has the seat and steering wheel in godawful positions and it ruins me every time it needs to transition between our profiles... ! ?

This feature has only gotten worse with time. Rivian please fix this already.

I, too, have this issue. It is random and I have yet to figure out the pattern. I would say that it happens about 15% of the time, maybe less. I will have to start paying particular attention to conditions that precede this action. Now, that I realize others are experiencing this issue, it is time to do some serious detective work. There must be an event/condition or series of events/conditions that cause this.

FWIW, I do not recall it ever happening while away from my house. Maybe something to do with the lock state.

It happens to me as well. But only at home - never away from the house. As far as I can tell, I think it takes a while for the car to wake up and load the profiles to know where the seat should be set at. Especially if there are multiple profiles. Since I do not have proximity lock/unlock on at home, I think if the car goes into sleep mode at home and then I come out and jump in quickly, it doesn’t have enough time to realize it’s me and just defaults to doing nothing.

To support this theory, it seems to be worse if I open the door and jump in the vehicle quickly (and don’t give it time to identify me and load my seat settings). If I open the door and wait for 10-20 seconds or tell it who I am by lock/unlocking with a key that is associated with my driver profile, it seems to work better.

I’ve also noticed this has gotten worse over time. Perhaps, due to fixes Rivian has made to solve vampire drain and put the vehicle to sleep more quickly at home and wake up on opening the door rather than when it detects my phone?

This is perhaps one of the most annoying things about the vehicle. The other day, my son and hopped in to go to his soccer practice and we had to get out, lock it, unlock it, and get back in. Yesterday, I discovered it also works if I toggle the driver profile to my wife and then quickly toggle back to my profile. I’d say this happens more than half the time for me at home and elicits a pretty heavy sigh and eyeroll.
