Samsung Ultra Watch

Just purchased a new Samsung Ultra watch last weekend. Coming from Apple Ultra watch and stilling learning how to use the new watch. Can Samsung Ultra watch does what Apple watch does with Rivian? Such as Rivian short cut for action button? I couldn't even find the Rivian app on the Samsung Watch... any help would be greatly appreciate.

Can't answer your question but I have a Garmin Fenix 7 and hope one day it'll unlock my Rivian. Is this even a possibility in the future?

Technically, but I wouldn't bet on it.

WearOS is not supported at this time. Having less market share than watchOS, if it’s on Rivian’s development roadmap at all, I doubt it’s going to happen anytime soon.

Rivian has always seemed to lean towards the "Apple Heads". I have always assumed that RJ drinks the Apple Koolaid, so the whole company must lean in that direction. I'm surprised that an Android can even open a Rivian.

I have noticed that on my Samsung Watch Ultra, I can download Apps to operate Ford, Tesla, Toyota, Hyundai, Nissan, and Kia . Almost half of the smartphones in the United States are Android. Rivian needs to wake up.

Count me as someone who wants WearOS support. Would love to lock, unlock, turn on HVAC, open frunk, etc from my Samsung watch.

Never had an Ultra series (too big for my wrist), but for simple Wifi/Bluetooth functions, hopefully they will make it work for all models.

AFAIK the only android watch with UWB support is the latest Google pixel watch.
You'd need that for unlock support.

For normal wearos support (widgets etc), it's not super hard to add to an android app nowadays...
