If Gen 1 (Model Year '22~'24) and using Highway Assist, sounds a lot like what is described in Owner Guide when driver fails to place hands on steering wheel and take control of vehicle.

**This is not a hands-free self-driving system**

If Gen 2 (MY '25 and beyond) there are similar warnings in the Owner Guide.

I’m also wondering if I triggered the Emergency Deceleration feature somehow, and pressing the Park button might have started the whole incident — major operator error stuff

Confession - when I was first getting used to my truck back in '22, instead of hitting the wipers I hit the park button just long enough for things to get exciting. Scared the out of myself. Thankfully was on a slow 15mph return down my street, but still - haven't done it since.

Yes I had that Driver Takeover Request a couple weeks ago.
The warning was for a tunnel I was approaching. Really just a freeway underpass. I ignored it and the vehicle eventually started to react as stated above. Took control and got on down the road.

Probably could have coasted through the tunnel.
