Dang. Alright, UW parking it is.
I parked in the University Village parking lot directly across from the Space. It was free (I think only for the weekends, though).

Free multi level parking garage just across from Space. enter from west side
Looking at it in satellite view, bringing a travel trailer wouldn’t be feasible.
And now that I’m planning my trip from Yakima, it looks like the EVgo I was going to use in Ellensburg is having issues, and the EA is also problematic.

:-/

I may end up just going home to Portland the South route instead of passing though Seattle as planned. (Currently in Yakima. I suppose I could charge extra long in Yakima and try to stretch it to North Bend. But unlikely to make it by 4 then.)

I was able to make it inside today. The R3X is ... "chonkier" than I was expecting. The wheels are huge, which might help put the full size into context.

No R3-nonX I saw. The R2 looked exactly like I expected it to.

EA at the Taco Bell in Ellensburg works - you can pull past the chargers and go behind the TB where there's a turn-around, then come back and nose-in to the end chargers. Or drop your trailer back there if necessary. These chargers are sometimes crowded - it's the only place I've ever had to wait to start charging.

There's an EVCS station at the pass which works.

There's an EA and EVGo a few feet away from each other at North Bend that work. North Bend is all downhill from the pass, so you'll get a better efficiency than you expect.

Ended up doing exactly what you said. Taco Bell just angled in (the end stall was open and a few parking spots past so I could just “parallel park”) and am currently in North Bend at EA. Which is being flaky, first two times I started charging, as soon as I went into the trailer to make a sandwich, I got a phone alert that “Vehicle Error” and charging stopped. Third time I decided to just sit in the truck, and of course it’s working fine.

So… I missed my official appointment time during the official showing hours.
But the space is open until 8, so I figured I’d stop by anyway.

oops, closed early for an invite-only event.

I may have weaseled my way in by combination of driving past slowly with trailer, waving at the entry people and dressing like Gear Guard Gary. ?

(shhh - don’t tell any Rivian employees on the forum.)

flashlight size hole on the *passenger* side of R2. Couldn’t tell if it was an actual flashlight in there, or just a clear lens end plug of some kind.
