Hey all, looking forward to hopefully leasing an R1S here soon. Did a test drive, expressed interest in a lease, provided desired configuration in person, was told I’d hear something from sales next day.

Going on three days now with no contact from Rivian. I guess what I’m asking is whether this is to be expected? Every other manufacturer I’ve bought from, d2c and dealerships, have typically fallen all over themselves to get your money—I’d like to get into an R1S as quickly as possible ahead of some travel in the summer, so would I be better off going through the website flow on a vehicle that’s close to our desired spec and putting the $1000 down now?

If you see the config you want online just bite, sales at Rivian is still a work in progress I think. Took them two weeks to reply to a recent inquiry and I also put $1k deposit but haven't picked a configuration, no body has reached out on that at all.

If you are looking for something specific that isn't available then you might have to wait until they open up order books again.

Best of luck.

Timing is your challenge. Do they have the configuration you want in a location near you? If so why not reach out again, customer service has always been amazing on the phone.

I’m trippin y’all, they called me and got me into a spec I was looking for. Anecdotally all terrain packages are tough to come by it seems, but so far so smooth. Appreciate the input and looking forward to joining here after watching this company well before its IPO

Hang in there. It's a great car. Spend as much time on this board as possible to gather info. It's a great resource. Post pics as soon as you get the car. Cheers.
