All CCP batteries are unsafe and likely to kill your entire family. Don't believe CCP lies.Ummmm how?
They claim they have solved every single battery issue, including mass production issues. It's like magic, and we have Mr. Fusion producing energy from trash.Proof?
Solid State batteries have been "2 years from now" since 2017 when Toyota said they would be used in 2020 model year cars. The battery will debut in the full-electric Karma Kaveya super coupe scheduled to arrive in late 2027.
...
Factorial aims to start mass production of its battery cells as soon as 2029, CEO Siyu Huang has said.
...
Several automakers have targeted 2027 as the year they will start equipping their production vehicles with solid-state batteries.
...
- Toyota plans to launch its first EVs with solid-state batteries between 2027 and 2028
I don't disagree that it sounds WAY to good to be true, but unfounded claims of fraud don't really help. All CCP batteries are unsafe and likely to kill your entire family. Don't believe CCP lies.

What a load of crap. Prove it is true and I will believe it.
So all those EVs using CATL batteries are unsafe and will kill you? Better tell those car companies using them. All CCP batteries are unsafe and likely to kill your entire family. Don't believe CCP lies.

So all the LFP Rivian's are unsafe right? All CCP batteries are unsafe and likely to kill your entire family. Don't believe CCP lies.

Only if you're racist. So all the LFP Rivian's are unsafe right?
With state owned media I'll believe these batteries do what they say when someone here has them and has done the independent testing to confirm the claims. Notice how that hasn't happened despite these things "totally existing right now". This comment only applies to SSBs as China makes plenty of safe regular batteries right now in use across the globeAll CCP batteries are unsafe and likely to kill your entire family. I was referring to leading edge SSBs, but my comment was not clear about that. Point taken. So all the LFP Rivian's are unsafe right?
100%. When it is actually tested by a trustworthy source, and used in a product manufactured by a trustworthy source (such as Rivian), I will believe it is real and safe. With state owned media I'll believe these batteries do what they say when someone here has them and has done the independent testing to confirm the claims. 100% agree about not trusting anything coming out of the state owned CCP media. I do trust the non Chinese car manufactures that are using CATL and other Chinese batteries but they aren't making huge claims of having solid state batteries that are ready to go (at least I don't think they are).I was referring to leading edge SSBs, but my comment was not clear about that. Although there have been reports of Chinese BEVs spontaneously catching on fire. That might have less to do with the batteries and more to do with cooling systems, IDK. But for sure the claims from that country are all passed through the lens of the CCP, and we really have no idea how safe or real what they claim to have made actually is. The CCP is a lie machine.

SSB's have been demonstrated in labs for years. Like any new technology, it's *much* harder to advance it from the lab to real-world manufacturability than most people realize. It's, consequently, very easy to say "we've got something we're testing now". Sure you do. But how close are you to an actual, viable, safe, reliable, manufacturable, cost-effective implementation?I haven't seen BYD or CATL claim they have SSB's in vehicles right now? But supposedly BYD has/can manufacture a SS Cell that could be used in an EV battery pack. Are they testing that SS cell in an EV today? Possibly, but we, the general public don't know that. One thing for sure, whomever can deliver a working SS cell that can scale large enough to be used in EV's and powerwalls will be sitting on agoldplatinum mine.
I agree, and I'm 100% in the "prove it" camp as well. With that said, from what is publicly available, I believe BYD (2nd largest battery manufacturer on the planet) is actually producing Sulfide SS cells right now at small scale and is preparing a pilot manufacturing line using that same cell chemistry. We'll just have to wait and see...SSB's have been demonstrated in labs for years. It doesn't hurt to be skeptical...I have learned that if it sounds too good to be true...I hope y'all are right and I'm wrong about Donut Labs, but I get a serious George Santos vibe from the Donut CEO.
