This is normal. If you aren’t touching the steering wheel the inside camera starts monitoring your head and eye movements. The warning will go away once you start monitoring the road.
Lightly rest you hand or finger on the wheel and you won’t get the warning pop up and you can enjoy the scenery.
That's not how it works in my truck. It doesn't matter if I am touching the steering wheel or not, if I am not looking ahead, the eye nanny will fuss at me. Could it be a Gen1 vs. Gen2 difference?

Leasing Model 3 until R3X comes out, but now I have an R2 reservation as well.
The three Autonomy+ drive modes are Spicy, Medium, and Mild. When you select Spicy, they show a little hot pepper. I love hot peppers.
They sound like they’re named after salsa. Tesla’s are: Sloth, Standard, Hurry, and Mad Max, I think.

Gen 1 does not have interior camera monitoring. Many Gen 1s don't have interior cameras, period.

In my experience, a large percentage of the reason for tailgating is the driver blocking traffic in the left lane.
Nope, the only reason is the person tailgating is a moron. You can't blame anyone else but tailgaters for tailgating, person in front is just driving.

We will just have to agree to disagree.

The left lane is for passing. If the inconsiderate driver in the left lane is not passing, tailgating occurs. If people would pass and then move over to the right to let faster traffic go, there would be a ton less tailgating. A ton. I have measured it. 😂
