Spotify disabled after upgrade

I have been using my spotify account on Rivian and now after the recent software upgrade it got disabled. Its taking me to enroll to Connect+ account with a monthly charge of $14.99. Is this happening because the wifi is disabled after the upgrade ? Are there any other options to use Spotify without enrolling in Connect+?

The options are:

1) enable hotspot on your phone and connect Rivian to your phones WiFi hotspot. Keep in mind most carriers limit hotspot data. This will allow you to use integrated Spotify without a sub.
2) Stream via Bluetooth from your mobile device.
3) Sub to Connect+. The unlimited WiFi hotspot alone is worth the sub if you ask me…that of course provided you use it.

Either your complimentary connectivity ended or there is a post update glitch. Always try soft reset first, either after each update or when you think you are experiencing a software glitch.

Cost of Connect+ can be paid annually and after some elementary level math, the cost is less than what some people spend on lunch during any given work day. There are plenty of threads arguing over this. Let's not start another.

If you don't want any or all of the paid features, with Connect+, tether your phone and use your cell carrier's monthly data plan.

Come on. This has been clearly disclosed by Rivian and talked about for months. Stay informed and manage your expectations appropriately.
When connect + went live, the previously free LTE connection ended. Your choices for streaming (Spotify amongst other things) are to pay for your LTE by subscribing to connect + or hotspotting from your phone if you have an available hotspot plan…none of this should be a surprise at this point
