That sounds similar the AC compressor noise that seems to be louder on some Rivians than others.

I find it peculiar that some seemingly expect EVs to be 1000% dead silent and are bothered that they aren’t. It is still a machine after all, with various pumps, solenoids and gizmos that turn and whirl when activated and instructed to function, as designed. Even a golf cart is not completely silent? If nothing is spewing, sparking or throwing error codes, it’s not a concern.

Sounds like the AC to me. Turn off the AC and see if it stops.

Also, the battery temperature system makes some noises. The air suspension makes noises. It’s normal.

I have a '22 R1T and my compressor never sounded this loud. If you search the forum, there have been numerous posts on some early R1's with very loud compressors.
