Did you ask DT to road force balance the tires? That's been the difference between some shake and zero shake for my vehicle.
I did the last time I went there(yesterday). They did it and gave me the readouts. They were bad. They didn't correct them for some reason. The fronts were at 25-26psi and the rears were at 15psi. I don't want to waste my time over there again for nothing, so do you think I should go there again and have them correct it? can they correct such a high number like 25-26psi?

Its in lbs not psi. Fronts are super high and need to be below 10 lbs of run out and rears should be below 15 lbs with proper road force. Take it to another dealer or independent installer to properly force match the tire to rim. Techs are super lazy at discount and I prefer independent mechanics. I got below 10 in front and below 13 on rears from 15-18 lbs and its glass smooth up to 95 on my new 21s Michelin defender tires.

Good to know. Thank you!
And PSI has lbs in it, it just adds another factor (which is not needed for that test, so you’re right, it measures lbs on the entire width of the tire, not on a specific area)

These are the road force numbers. .006 is in inch of run out converted to 6 lbs of run out. .010 is equivalent to 10 lbs an so on . Hope this helps guys. I was getting steering wheel vibration and chassis vibes above 80 mpg and now it's smooth.

My tech took 2 hours to do this and it's worth it
I’d probably go there tomorrow and make them fix it the right way.
Thank you so much for the advice

Anytime! Do you have Pirellis or? They should be able to get them down but if they show the print out that they can't you can get them replaced as per uniformity warranty. Michelins are much more rounder and easier to road force. Keep us posted!

I see you have Pirellis 21s which I had before and I had absolutely no vibrations up to 100 . Michelins are much smoother though

Mine have been road force balanced 3x. The latest they got them to was between 20-30 pounds of run out which DT said is below their passing spec and normal. So I’m guessing based on these responses it should be much lower and this is likely my issue.

Henceforth why I never use discount tire in over 15 years. They rely on the old school 26 lbs max road force to warranty tires. It's so pathetic. Most of their customers have cars with some vibration and it's unacceptable now. When cars come from factory they have tires road force and are smooth as glass with exception for few batches with bad tires. When people replace the tires it must be a standard to do road force to give it that same smooth ride up to highway speeds etc.

Go to an independent dealer with the hunter road force machine and have them try this and then take the pics to Rivian to get those tires replaced or go all the way and get Michelins.

Your road force are super high and very bad. Needs to be warrantied and replaced if they can't get below 15.

Just weird that 2 different stores told me they’re fine. I guess I need to find someone willing to try harder.

Nope that's very bad I'll be furious and make their life super hard to measure the run out of the rim and tire and properly match it ?. Try another place not discount tire, Costco etc. tbh I would only take a discount car to discount tire.

I live in Orange County so I’m sure there has to be some better high end options. I’ll keep looking and report back. The truck is at Rivian now so I messaged them as well to see if they’d be willing to try to get them lower.

It looks like Les Schwab has Hunter Road Force balancers. Has anyone tried there?
