Stock strategy before the R2 reveal

With Rivian's stock price hovering around $10 - $11, does it make sense to dump a bunch of cash into Rivian stock today or tomorrow and try to catch the theoretical wave that may happen after the R2 reveal? If the leaked specs are correct, it seems like the R2 will be a big winner for Rivian.

Anyone else thinking along the same lines?

Seriously, I expect at best there will be a short term small bump, over 3 months the announcement will cause no significant change in price, until the overall EV market sentiment improves.

Yeah, exactly. I'm thinking take advantage of the bump. With such low share prices, it wouldn't take very much to double it. In and out....hoping to offset my larger losses a bit.

I got in at about $50 and I'm still sad.

Lets be realistic.. any short term gains driven by R2 announcement is just going to fuel short sellers.

IMHO the biggest question is if they can turn margins positive on the R1 line by the end of the year as they have guided. If you believe they will then buy.

Short term trading is for gamblers and suckers unless you have trained a good computer algorithm.

I had a sell order in at $170 and my wife talked me into deleting it.

It is climbing without leaving gaps i.e we won’t look back when it will hit the highs!!
