I've been asked this a few times, but I've always declined. Just want to keep it fair.

Also note, although you are at a high number it might not be as long as you think. I had a big burst of people on the wait list recently (I think from a social media post). This has happened in the past and a large percentage do not go through with a purchase.
I wouldn’t want to skip anyone anyways. When the time comes, I will be jumping on to place my order. Hopefully you get a good burst of energy and get a bunch knocked out soon. Thanks anyways. Looking forward to my turn.

Thanks for not doing that.

The spike is more likely due to more R1S being delivered over the last couple of months - myself included.

Just a feedback on you design. It's not the charging ability alone that made me order the unit. It's the pocket underneath too.

I think Rivian made a mistake by not having a glove box. We need a place to put the vehicle registration and the insurance card, along with toll road transponder for occasional use. The storage pocket makes it even more appealing. The deep console elastic band at the bottom is really not viable for this purpose.

Seems like lots of folks are evaluating here so I just wanted to jump in and say I'm 200% happy with my StowNCharge. I've tried just about every charging mat replacement on the market and while several of them have things I really like, StowNCharge is the only one that stuck for me and feels like it should come stock with the truck. Magsafe works great (even through my Peak Design case), fast charges two phones reliably, and the storage door is super handy. Well worth the wait and price.

My only constructive feedback is that the door action could feel a bit more solid - I'm not concerned that it will break, but it's so light as to feel a bit flimsy. Not a deal breaker by any means.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you are enjoying it!

I agree about the door, it's definitely a challenging component that I had to make trade offs in design on. Main issue is space is such a premium and trying to have a track that doesn't take up too much space was difficult. I went though so many different designs. Making the lid thicker might also help it feel more solid but again, that would shrink the interior space. Anyways, just some of my thought process.

Yeah, I definitely feel you on some of the constraints here. I was wondering if some amount of friction in the track "slots" could help - like a rubberized track (or a rubber foot on the door at the track interface or something) that could add a little bit of resistance and reduce the tendency to "wiggle" in the track without adding actual thickness to the door assembly?

(I'm very much not an engineer ?)

@Mcdubjr I have one side of my charger (passenger side) that only sporadically charges now. It is not related to heat either - I tested in a cold and hot cabin. From what I can tell, the vinyl cover is not adhering to the Mag charger well enough all the time. Any suggestions or thoughts on this? Perfectly happy otherwise.

Just got it and installed the StowNCharge.

Great installation video! Watched before hand and It took 10 mins from start to finish. Used the sprinkler head adjusting flathead screw driver to pop loose the clips and the power plug (I don't have nails long enough to catch the edge).

Was surprised just. how heavy and beefy Rivian's original charge plate and assembly is. I bet taking that out increases the vehicle range by a lot (jk).

Noticed what people are trying to use the stow portion of the charger and I've included how I am going to use it. Was hoping that it was wide and deep enough to hold my sunglasses but no go on that...

Oh, yes, it charges the phone without any issues.

Thanks Adventure High Tech. What's next?

What are the differences between StowNCharge ver. 1 and ver. 2? I see there is a bracket to hold the chargers in place instead of a clip with a screw. Are there any other changes? Thanks for a great product.

Biggest and most visible changes are:

1. The magsafe bracket change you mentioned.
2. There is now a tab that helps keep the unit down in place
3. The interior is only soft on the bottom.

I have owned my R1T for over a year and a half and R1S for 6 months. I have purchased alternative charging solutions for both (and my daughter’s R1S) that were adequate. Once I saw the post about this product I knew I needed to try it. I patiently waited for my order to come up and immediately purchased one. Well, the small wait was worth it! This is the absolute best solution for Rivian’s charging failure. It was easier to install than my 1st solution since the power adapter is contained in the unit itself. And it absolutely looks OEM. I am thoroughly impressed by the design and attention to detail in this product. So much so that I just ordered 2 more. Great job!
