I was one of the first EVPlay customers and the unit is fantastic. I put the wireless USB module on a 6 inch extension cable and it just slightly pops out of one of the vents underneath the passenger footwell. It is the fastest CarPlay I've ever used with no unresponsiveness at all as long as I put my phone on the center console. Allowed me to get rid of 2 of the 3 obstructions in your picture (I still have my comma 3x installed but awaiting the 4).Uh...no.

I've been watching the EV Play stuff to see about having a bigger CP screen, but the lagginess I see in the video might make me insane.
That's awesome man, some great ideas there. It does both AA and CP. As for lag, I have no idea what that is about - I don't really see any. I only use tablet mode (screw AA or CP). I connect to work thru a VPN and work right from there. Also use it while traveling. Have ABRP and the Rivian app up at the same time is very cool. Not to mention being able to control my Comma from the main display thru Sunnylink...

How fast is the switching time between the two systems? And is each one ready to touch and use as soon as it displays?I was one of the first EVPlay customers and the unit is fantastic. There is a 2-3 second pause switching between the 2 systems. I don't find myself switching much if at all. I made some scripts in Home Assistant in widgets in CarPlay so I can increase or decrease temperature and control the seat heater/steering wheel heater while still in CarPlay. How fast is the switching time between the two systems? I have the C4, definitely reduced the disturbance in visibility.
Mine is less than 1 second. You just can't switch back and forth in quick succession. Alex provided an update for me about screen touch responsiveness and it's pretty much instant - or at least it's ready from the time I get my hand from the button to the screen. There is a 2-3 second pause switching between the 2 systems. v3.1 or a different version?Mine is less than 1 second. You just can't switch back and forth in quick succession. Alex provided an update for me about screen touch responsiveness and it's pretty much instant - or at least it's ready from the time I get my hand from the button to the screen.
Not sure what the hardware version is unless you're just talking the app version.v3.1 or a different version?
Mine is unfortunately much slower... But he did send me an update as well. I guess we'll see how that goes.Mine is less than 1 second. You just can't switch back and forth in quick succession. From what I've read, it appears to be a possible update in the future. Are you using the scheduled night/day mode?My current biggest issue is the brightness. I go to work at 6AM in New England. Right now the sun doesn't really come up until 7AM and in the summer it comes up at 5AM. I can't rely on the brightness not blinding me when I switch over in the morning. It was my biggest issue with the EVSportline one I had before and why I switched. This unit was supposed to match the auto brightness of the Rivian's system. It does not and I don't know if there are any plans to fix it.
It also lags during night mode on Carplay when I use Waze. Not during the day, but at night the Waze screen updates at a refresh rate that is 1/2 to 1/4 the daytime. I'm not sure what that is all about.
I am, but you’ll notice that the schedule will reset every now and then so that’s frustrating too. From what I've read, it appears to be a possible update in the future. Are you using the scheduled night/day mode?
