Hi yall!

I’ll be installing a switch inside my truck this weekend and was wanting to see how others set up theirs in their Rivian’s. I have a 2022 Quad for reference but wanted to see where others mounted or placed their switch. Hoping to see pics of how peoples set theirs up for ideas on how to set up mine. Appreciate it!

Look up the DCE/Optima gen1 R1S. I can’t remember the panel brand/model. I think there is a YouTube video where they mention it. There is at least one forum member running Garmin’s wireless setup. And at least another running Trigger 4Plus, also wireless. Should be able to find thru forum search. As for running cables from 12V into the cabin, you might have to search for custom audio/sub/amp install threads.

Rivian R1T R1S Switch Panel Install IMG_5993

Magnets! 🧲 I also opted for a wireless RF switch to avoid the need to run wires from the switch box to the switch.

It’s mounted to one my MagSafe iPhone mounts.

@Polar Nice install. I like the idea of the wireless controller to avoid feeding wires through the firewall (is it even called that anymore for our cars?)

Can you please share more about your switch box? Which brand and model.

Also, where is your "signal wire" tapped into? I'm assuming you selected one of the fuses that's under the dashboard?

Thank you.

Here my lighting install post -
https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/accessory-lighting-all-of-the-accessory-lighting.34410/

All wiring was done under the hood/exterior only for this project.

I have done fuse taps for a separate project that was putting MagSafe powered phone mounts on either side of my screen.

Forgot to add:
This is the controller I’m using.

I used the Trigger 4 Plus with the s00nish mount. Bluetooth control plus phone control. Tapped into the wire on the frunk by the front left tire. Trigger/s00nish have a good doc for the install, too.
