Since there seem to be a few of us from the Knoxville area here, I will shamelessly plug the Car Show my daughter's high school band is doing as a fundraiser next month. It would be really cool if we had a Rivian section (there will be at least two attending).

I met the guys who were doing the mobile services. they were really good when I was in Nashville SC. how can I request service for that day? call it in?

Yes, I would call - when they called me to setup the appointment, they gave me the option of anytime that week. It was 2 weeks ago when they called - hopefully they'll still have appointments available for you

I am at a service appointment in Shepardsville, KY to get my tail light bar replaced (I backed into something 2 weeks ago and cracked the lense).

This is my new favorite service center for somebody that lives in Knoxville where we are ~220 miles from 4 service centers, all in different directions.

Franklin, Atlanta and Duncan all had waits of several weeks out, Shepardsville got me in a week later. I am sitting in the waiting area where I am their only service appointment for the entire morning.

They are also the regional parts distribution center and they are the battery/drive train reman facility... so a much shorter wait on parts if you get serviced here.

For now, this is my new go-to service center.

I was talking to my wife the other day about Knoxville's positioning relative to the service centers. Since they are all around the same distance from here, I have my fingers crossed that Rivian is planning on opening a center around here. Judging by how many Rivians I've been seeing lately, this is a possibility, but who knows how long it would take.

I had the mobile service appointment and it turns out they just moved a mobile technician to the area - Amazon requested them to have local support for all the delivery vans. So, in theory, it should be easier to get a mobile appointment in the Knoxville area now. Connor seems to be a great technician! I'm glad we've got him "in the neighborhood"

I'm glad to hear about this, I'd only ever considered going to Nashville or Atlanta...
But hopefully I won't ever need anything our new local tech (see my post above) can't handle...

Unfortunately, the scope of what they are sending to the mobile tech is still pretty limited… I was told that internally they already have a Knoxville service center listed.

I will miss Richard, the tech they sent out here a few times from Franklin. I am glad that we have a full-time tech here, though. With all the Amazon vans I'm pulling for the local service center to open up.

If anybody in the TN Valley area is interested in trying some light off-roading, there will be a Rivian owners meetup at Coalmont OHV in Tracy City, TN on Sept 7th. Several of us are coming in the evening of Sept 6th to camp. There are trails for every skill level (and tire/configuration).

I’m late to this thread but picked up my R1T in Feb’23 62k miles later this has been an amazing truck!
I’m in Mount Juliet just East of Nashville but travel all over TN for work…
