Glad everything worked out for you. I was in Sedona the same weekend as you. I strongly disagree with your assessment of 400 miles range being necessary. I have the standard pack and drove out from SoCal with zero issues. Preparation is all that is needed. You'll not make the same mistakes next time. Max pack is mostly unnecessary.
