Okay, we know we love our Rivians but something that used to get attention on every review but hardly mentioned now is the flashlight. I mean really, how awesome is it for you?

I absolutely love it and use it multiple times a week, especially in the winter. I am wondering if anyone else uses as much as me.

I use it on trash days. Long trek in the dark top the end of the drive. Gets spooky in the dark!

What? There’s a flashlight? No way.

Seriously, like the camp speaker, I’ve never used it or even pulled it out. I kinda forgot it was even there. I need to give it a try, I guess. There may come a time when I will need it. I can see its value. When camping season rolls back around, I’m sure it will get some use.

I'm surprised to be only one of two who use it weekly. I grab it randomly in the garage because my others are back in the house and I don't want to take my shoes off.

Climbing in the attic? Damn it, need a light. Grabbing the mail (box is across the 45mph road)? It's PNW winter so it's dark at 430, better have a light. Installing my wife's hitch and can't see the holes? LIGHT IT UP. Rivian tech fixing the tailgate latch? "Hey, can you grab a flashlight and aim it here?"

I use when my headlamp is not immediately available and I’m at the truck. I’ve been surprised at how often I actually use it. I also mainly use it in Winter’s low light days.

I’ve also used the Camp Speaker more often than I thought—road trip AirBnBs where connecting my own music source was difficult or impossible.

I voted monthly because during the summer months I don't use it as much, but during the winter months I use it quite frequently. It's nice to have when feeding our animals as it's usually dark when I get home. It's nice to just grab it out of the door versus going to find a light from the house. I've also used it at work many times as it was the most convenient light to use. Just one more thing I love about my R1T

That little guy will cost you $225 in the Gear shop. I hope it doesn’t disappear like pens.

You clearly just don't have enough artificial lighting in your world. My go-to ends up being a bike helmet with a light strapped to it. Looks goofy as hell around the house, but almost always available and hands free. My camping headlamps generally get packed away when the season ends or I would end up using those.

I only use it a couple times per month, but I sure appreciate it. My tiny garage is dark and if I need help finding something it’s always right there.

Great reminder. I used it after a couple of months of owning the car. I've been meaning to use the camp speaker just to test it out. Goes to show just how useless that thing is.

The flashlight and field kit (first aid kit) are great items to have in the vehicle so as to never be left behind. I don’t use the flash light at home as my go-to light as I have many already stashed in strategic places. Regardless, on regular intervals I do test it to be sure it works.
Thinking about other “neat” built-ins; for me the camp speaker could have been something that was a “delete” & receive a credit (but that wasn’t an option), I’ll never use it other than as a novelty. I’ll probably replace that space with an after market bin as I’ve still not found my perfect place for sunglasses & wallet.

I carry a small kit in all my cars with a mini flashlight, cash, extra phone battery, multi-tool, etc. For the Rivian, I removed the batteries and flashlight from the kit.

I've used the flashlight once, for me it's an emergency thing. My go-to is my phone for quick usage or my hands-free headlight for anything else.
