Well, I am glad for you!

AC issue is a design issue, and all cars share the same AC design for now. Your tolerance to noise, or ambient temperature is what defines if you see this or not. IMHO

As for the steering wheel - probably the same - I talked to my friend with R1T and he said there is no issue with alignment. Went to drive his car - same 1-3 degree misalignment of the steering wheel. He is not registering this at all.
okay I guess you've seen my steering wheel and heard by AC.

Another super happy/satisfied R1S owner here, besides a few minor gremlins which the local service center has been very prompt in fixing, I only have great things to talk about! This is a vehicle that makes me feel like a celebrity every time I take her out for a ride ?

I am happy for you - do not get me wrong. :)

I just say that each person has a different tolerance to noise and alignment. My AC for example makes a noise, but it is perfectly ok for me. Said that I do feel unpleasant vibration on the acceleration table when AC is at high power.

As for the steering wheel - I am curious when you drive on a regular road (that is usually not 100% flat), do you need to steer a bit left to drive straight?

OP here. My R1S is perfect! Well not perfect but there are the well known issues of the clicking noises from the drivetrain. Other than that, the car is so wonderful to drive. I had no idea it was so dead silent inside. People were trying to tell me "Nice car!" but all I saw was their mouth move lol.

This thing gets so many stares. Also when another Rivian drives by it's like we are in a club. Feels like I'm on my sportsbike lol.

Also, damn I had no idea L2 charging takes so long but not really a surprise since our batteries are pretty much double what's in Teslas. With the amount I drive (45km a day) Ill have to charge about twice a week (6-7 hours a charge session). Total cost a month I think will be about $80.

When we picked up our new R1S in Brooklyn last week I noted a cosmetic defect with the grab handle above the left rear door. I waited until Sunday to submit a service ticket for this minor item in case I discovered anything else once I was home and had more time to inspect the R1S very closely.

Today, just two days after submitting my service ticket and photo, I got a call from Rivian to schedule a mobile technician appointment to come to my house in three days to replace the single grab handle that has a cosmetic defect.

Color me impressed so far.

I usually have a Razor scooter so I can get back quickly since I park where no one ever is as well, but when parked at a charger or people who stop to talk I can spend hours.
This is really off topic, but if you want to upgrade from that Razor scooter, I highly recommend this little one. Gets about 4 miles at 12mph with an adult rider. I upgraded from my 20+ year old childhood razor when they were $300 and its down to 200 now.

Not an ad, I just went through a boat load of reviews trying to find an actually small scooter to fit in my R1T gear tunnel but it would also fit well in your frunk if interested.

7k miles and loving every one of them!! No issues aside from a nail in a tire. Rivian swapped out the tire for me at my home.

I believe as I have experienced the majority of Rivian owners have few to no issues. People with issues are the most likely posters on this forum. Very few drivers without issues post.

I’m set to pick up our R1S later today and of course cruising the forums now. I know there’s some bias by reading what’s posted in the forums but I just gotta ask…there’s people out there with vehicles that have no issues right?

It’s not 100% of people with AC noises? It’s not 100% of people with suspension problems? It’s not 100% of people with unaligned steering wheel? How about the drivetrain clicking?
no issues.

Just over 6 months, and the only issue was the 120v outlets didn't work. Has been fixed.
