I think that's a little different than what I saw in the regular e-tron, but it could be the same. I fit my phone with a case at the time pretty easily, but could totally see fitment issues.

There isn't enough space in the center console for the length of the phone without slipping the phone into the small cutout towards the front of the console area(just ahead of the #3 in the picture).

Absolutely useless.

Poor camera quality being called out again.

I know there is another thread speaking about what features of the R1T will be soon obsolete - besides the lack of UWB support (phone key and other capabilities), I would be concerned about the camera and potentially how is low quality affects auto pilot accuracy.

Yeah, according to Throttle House "just on the interior alone" they'd want to have an R1T and it's basically excellent at everything.

Again, nothing new... Neither is me waiting for one.

I would be concerned about the camera and potentially how is low quality affects auto pilot accuracy.

If anything, driver systems based on cameras would be a reason to limit camera resolution.

I really need to see Rivian Blue in person. Hard to get a bead on the color from any of these pictures and videos. I can't tell if there's a hint of green to it IRL or if these guys are just applying a filter. Depends on light, I know, but it feels like this blue runs quite a wide spectrum.

We drove up to Michigan to see family in December, and we stopped by the Rivian office they have up there. We happened to see a blue as it drove by.

You absolutely have to see it in person to appreciate it. It's not just lighting, it shifts in a subtle way as it moves. I would not describe it as having green in it, but rather a turquoise undertone mixed with a Kentucky-summer-sky-blue that wraps that. It's truly beautiful.

I don't go for blue cars, but it moved up my list once I saw it. We're probably going for Compass Yellow first (yellow is my wife's favorite color, and I want a bright car), and we also loved Forest Green in person, but RB became our #3 color choice immediately on seeing it.

I'm assuming cameras will be an iterative fix. There's likely a bit of software optimization that can be done, as other's have said it's pretty tough to source a completely unusable auto grade camera at this point. But I'm not expecting anything more than serviceable "Can I see if I'll hit something?". Think it comes down to determining whether they'll roll out updates in-line like Tesla or stick to the refresh cycle of a traditional automaker.

Yes, you can. Both front and rear are available while driving.
