I wonder if they get you a new one what happens to the old one. Loaner fleet? Test drive unit (although I’m sure they would want to respray to prevent bad first impressions).?

I mean…they do need a loaner fleet for sure. Lol. I suggested that to my Guide earlier in the week but he he didn’t address it. We’ll see.

Just checked in with my service advisor this morning. They adjusted hood and other panels at the service center. Its now at a shop in Plano having the paint evaluated to see what the next steps will be.

Ah, interesting. The only work done on Peeler was at the service center not the body shop I had expected.

@DaveA how long have you been with our a vehicle? At what point does insurance and monthly payment start becoming a thing on paying for a vehicle you are not driving?

It would be really cool if they gave you a R1T loaner so you can SEMI feel its yours but yes growing pains should start to be documented with a appropriate SOP as a response.

Feel like forever, its been 8 days. lol. Vehicle is paid for, so even worse...no return on investment. They asked if I needed a loaner, but I have a older vehicle I am using. I don't think it would have been another R1T anyway. If so, I would have taken them up on it.

The worst part is checking the app every few hours seeing if it moved or if its in the paint shop and then seeing that my interior is at 120 degrees and tempted to turn it on to keep my baby cool. :CWL:

I was given a completion date of 4/27. Other than me trolling my app watching the truck move around the body shop, that’s all I know.

Ughhh...I wonder how long my my paint repairs will take...

Do you know if that's a long or short amount of time for repaint?

This is a situation where you could tweet to RJ and then publish that tweet to the various Rivian and EV forums and sites … a few of us retweet and you'll get a new truck, forget about getting the paint corrected, that's their QA problem, not the customer's problem (and maybe some compensation for weeks off the road.)

Thanks for the update, does seem a long time. Hopefully fixed by then.
