You won't believe this sh**....when it got to Houston, the detailer at the Houston service center said it was a poor job on the repaint and it is being sprayed AGAIN. I think I'm out.....this is nuts.

I didn't want it to start just due to having so many silver vehicles, but this saga has cemented that for me. If I had to choose a no-cost color I would go with white, but I want some color.

All of my vehicles the last 20 years have been silver...I love the color...but after this.....I know that the "LA" part stands for "Lines Added"

Well, maybe in a different color, his choice.

I know Rivian also needs to see how their post production process will work (in a real world), so I understand them not offering a new truck immediately. But it does get to a certain point where they have to take accountability for their own product paint and pre-delivery inspection process.

Not unexpected but still a bummer.

I say be happy they are buying it back from you.

If you are going to hold out for another R1T I would argue that you may benefit the longer it takes. They have a lot of things they need to work out. From production to service. A Rivian a year from now will assuredly be better sorted than one today. Just my .02

If you do decide to stay with Rivian may I suggest FG. I usually do not like green vehicles but that is one thing I really love about my R1t. The color is just great.

I can certainly sympathize with you and the frustrations you must have.

Yep that was it! Saw it in the bay with the back bumper and wheel trim off. That’s all I could make of it.
