I have the Rivian wall charger which has been fine other than trouble with staying connected to wifi.
Anyway, is it possible to set a schedule for the charger so that when I plug in our eGolf it is also waits until off-peak rates to charge? Would it be possible as a future feature addition through OTA updates?

Talk of the update adding scheduled departure reminded me to get enrolled in PGE's TOD program so I am less affected by the upcoming rate hike.

I'd prefer not to have to remember to plug it in after 9p...but I guess since the battery is so small it would be ~$20 / month differential even if I plug it in when I get home at peak rates.

AFAIK you would need to manage that on the vehicle end

Both Rivian and Tesla manage that on the vehicle side

So not confident an update to the charger like that will happen

I don't know what an eGolf is but assume you can't set the schedule through the vehicle like you can with Rivian? Doubt adding timers to the charger itself is going to be high on Rivian's to-do list. Maybe a timer for the circuit breaker to manually turn it on & off? I've never used such a thing but according to google they exist, LOL. 😆
