Timing from R1 Shop -> Delivery?

Curious about those folks who've decided to purchase from the R1 shop rather than wait for their build - what's the typical timeline? I know the website says 6-8 weeks, is that about right?

Yes it was 6 weeks for me. Surprisingly, the one I selected in the shop wasn't even built yet.

It comes with LE, no questions asked. They don't care about what your original order was for.

Just received word from my guide that our R1S arrived at the service center in Portland. Ordered from the shop 4/7/23, that's 27 days from the R1 shop to service center arrival. Still have to wait for pre-delivery inspection. Anyone else have timing on how long it took them for PDI?

Do you know how yours got to PDX? Mine left Normal on the 21st and has apparently been sitting in WY for two days now.. Hopefully it makes it the rest of the way soon.

I assume mine was by rail, I don’t know how it would take so long by truck. I had an f150 Lightning shipped via rail last year and it was 16 days from Michigan to Oregon. If our times are the same, 27 days from shop selection to service center, yours would be may 18th.

how do you know it’s in WY? My guide gave me no info.

Mine was 5 days, it must have already been at the SC. I was checking the shop daily and picked up my config the same day it was posted.

Oh my guide of course said he has no way of providing that info.. I happened to get that when I spoke with Rivian Insurance for a quote and she quickly and easily told me exactly where it was.

Mine was ready for pickup at the Portland "service center" (it's just a parking lot currently) 14 days after I ordered from the shop.

R1S been at the service center since last Thursday….4 days so far. Hopefully I get a call soon…

R1Shop experience. 2 wks. VIN# appeared in my account later that day. Text message from delivery center the next day notifying me that the truck was enroute from IL to SoCal.

How did you know it made it to the service center? I got the email saying ours was about to leave the factory, but do they also email me when it arrives at the SC?

The delivery team texted you? I haven't gotten any kind of communication from the delivery team, just the single email saying ours was ready to leave Normal

Yes, my local delivery center actually kept me updated on my vehicle after I secured it from R1Shop.
