Hi all, first post, happy owner of the 2025 R1S in Storm Blue.
I am travelling to Vermont and need to have AT/snow tires. Can’t get the Rivian 20” AT tires and wheels in time for trip.
I was told by Discount Tire that I can put BF Goodrich K03 on, same exact size as my Pirelli scorpion, on my 22” wheels.
They say no calibration necessary. I know that the tread will be higher but otherwise same exact size. Anyone have experience with this? I don’t want to mess anything up. Thank you

as long as the size of 22" is 275/50/22, which is same as stock pirelli, you should not have to do any recalibration. I think there is only one TRUE snow tire that is available in 22 is the Nokian

Another option is to find RAM 1500 steel wheels and put 275/60/20 AT tires and have it as a winter set.

This size has the same diameter as the 275/50/22.

Got it, thank you
The BFG K03s are exact size, I actually want an AT tire not just snow specific
These seem to be we’ll rated
Then you are good to go. Your efficiency will drop about 10% since it is AT tires vs your original is AS tires

I've been hemming and hawing between the KO3's and Falken AT4W's. I've heard good things about both, and being a former AT3W loyalist, it's been difficult...still haven't bit the bullet on either yet, so let me know your initial thoughts once installed.

I have been very happy with the Toyo Open country EV III tires. low road noise great handling on and off road. plus slight increase in efficiency over the Pirelli AT

I replaced my OEM Pirelli AT tires with 30k miles with Goodrich KO3s a couple of weeks ago in anticipation of a trip from Connecticut to Orlando and back in our quad motor R1S. After that 2200 mile jaunt, I can report the heavier LT spec KO3s with more robust sidewalls reduce efficiency by about 10 percent vs the Pirelli tires. The KO3s felt planted in the rain and are definitely quieter than the worn Pirellis were over the last 15,000 miles. Be prepared to see some low efficiency numbers (around 1.6m/kw) when outside temps are in the 30s or lower driving at highway speeds - at least until the cabin warms up. Don‘t expect to see efficiency much over 2.1 in highway driving at 70-75 mph even with outside temps around 70 degrees with the KO3s. Of course, anyone considering KO3s isn’t prioritizing efficiency.

There is always the Continental Terrain Contact AT for 22” gives a nice aggressive look.

I have played around with tires and tire sizes a lot. I love the look of the 22” with AT tires or even the Michelin Defender LTX MS2 (lower pics) but I still find myself defaulting back to 20 AT. The ride is smoother and I unless you are an efficiency junky…the vehicles belong on 20 AT. ?

I just put 20 ATs on my tri max yesterday to see how it rides when I put running boards on….the smoothness and ride is so much better.
