I've got nothing but very positive comments on my R1T, and even from a couple of Tesla owners.

Last week I ran a Model Y straight from an entrance ramp on to a unoccupied/no access stretch of road nearby. I lost him upon initial acceleration and he never caught up. I gave up at 107mph. I let off the accelerator at which point he then caught up with me.. I looked across at him with a shit eating grin on my face.. and to my surprise he was smiling back and he gave me a very enthusiastic double fist pump!

I also ran across a Model Y owner at BJ's this weekend who loved the look of the R1T and had lots of questions. He was very impressed with the specs and wished me good luck with it.

Where I live, there are so many R1Ts, and more and more R1S every day, that nobody stops me - which is fine with me because the two people who have asked about it insist on pronouncing it “Rivi-ahhhn”.

Wawa is a Gas Station/Convenience Store/Quick Serve Food/Coffee/Beverages. Similar to Braums in your area, minus the burgers, shakes and served ice cream.

I have a R1T. VIN 6xxxK. Just passed 30K miles. I don't think my LA silver T is beautiful, But when I put it in Sport Mode and jam that accelerator to the floor, it doesn't matter. My smile is beautiful and that's all there is to say about that.

When someone cracks on how I spent some money I usually just say something like "Well if you think it's ugly I suggest not buying one" and go about my business. An outright dismissal always seems to work best to quiet clowns like that down. I doubt you really give a shit about the guy's opinion anyways so it's easiest to just ignore it.

That's what I said to the guy with his jacked up brodozer F250 Powerstroke when he was telling me unsolicited in a parking lot how the towing range wouldn't be good enough for him. I was trying to get groceries instead of getting some dude all up in his feels over his truck.
