I got Opal's Lomax about a year ago for a little over $1,000. We bought it directly from Agri-Cover in North Dakota, who is the manufacturer. It looks great and works great. It is also water-tight even in a high pressure car wash.

I went into this leaning toward the Rivian PTC or even manual. Then I thought about the other slide in options, Interrobang & Tail lidz. I ruled out the Rivian PTC as I heard too many issues.

I was really leaning toward Interrobang and the manual Rivian. The thought of removing them and putting them in the gear tunnel seemed pretty appealing. I was really set on one of those. What I ultimately ended up with was the WeatherTech. Honestly, it has exceeded my expectations and is more useful than I thought it would be.

It took a little more time to install the rails than just sliding in sections. What I realized after using it is, I rarely, if ever, take it off. So far, just one time to put a motorcycle in the back. What I've really grown to appreciate about it is how quickly it opens. I am not fiddling with sliding pieces in and out and storing them somewhere in the interim.

Most of the time about 35% or 70% open covers my needs for something taller. If not, I can take it off entirely now in a matter of seconds. Again, I am not fiddling around with a bunch of individual sections. Just flip, flip and off.

It seals surprisingly well. I did get some water in put it was a torrential storm with lots of flooding all night long in the area. Even my house sprung a leak. I had maybe a cup of water in the bed near the tailgate.

It is surprisingly strong, and I think their 400# load capacity is conservative. I know I've put at least that on the spread out and it didn't even flinch. I don't make a habit of it, but I was still impressed.

The downsides are it takes a bit more room to store when off. To some it may not look as nice but I like how it looks on my truck. You basically have the 2 open positions or remove it totally. You can't open the trunk fully but it will open up enough to get a spare tire out. All in all I think it is a great value.

At least there are a few options and likely something for most everyone. The one thing I am certain about is I am glad I didn't go with the Rivian PTC. Just something else to break and relatively slow. I really appreciate just being able to flip the cover open on my truck and drop in groceries.
