I have an R1T for the last 9 months, with 9000 miles on the clock, never had a big problem, just a few small issues addressed by the SC in a few minutes. I'm very happy with my truck, I think this is a keeper BUT I need the 7 seats instead of the cargo bed so I decided when my R1S reservation pops up I will take, and that happened on June 24. (end of the quarter frenzy)
I was contacted by a guide and for some reasons, I start noticing some red flags on her attitude
-The way she offered me a 8,xxx vin number vehicle when production was at 14,xxx . was the first red flag....
-Second red flag happened once we found the configuration I wanted she refused to let me take possession in the factory, even without the factory tour.....
-Third red flag when I asked, Ok I just completed the 8 step process paid the balance, where is the vehicle now ? Reply was is some where but I can't tell you where.... It may be on the lot waiting for transport or can be being quality control tested but I don't know.
-Fourth red flag, tired of waiting not knowing where the vehicle was, I went to the service center and my R1S was right there ! sitting in the middle of the lot WITHOUT the side badges and with some white marks in a few places (something like a dry polish compound to me)
-Fifth red flags, the tires didn't look brand new....
I went inside the service center, and we schedule the delivery date for this Monday, due to the missing both side badges we couldn't make it sooner .... I asked why there was no badges present and all I heard was.... bullshit bullshit bullshit..... and that's my 6th red flag.
Why my guide didn't allowed me to pickup the vehicle at the factory..... did she know this vehicle had a potential body problem that needed to be addressed by the service center ? Could this be a test / demo vehicle ? Could be this a lemon returned by another customer ?
I don't want to surrender my perfectly fine R1T for something I'm not trusting.... at all....
What should I do !!!!
