Trim peeling off

Today I noticed some trim under my window peeling off (see pictures). The hard dark black plastic under the driver's rear window has come off the soft rubber window sealant (apologies for wrong terminology). Instead of putting in a ticket that would take two months to get done, I was just going to reglue it myself. What would be a good adhesive to use?

Had m y window trim replaced when it came up on rear passenger window in May. EZ job for SC. Watch out for trim scratching other doors when they open. I cut mine off so that wouldn't happen.

mine did this a few months after delivery. mobile service replaced it in 10 minutes

I would love to have service replace / fix it, but the earliest appt I was offered was at the service center on 8/27. Definitely don't want to wait 2 months with wonky trim.

Had the same thing happen to the top of the front passenger door. Used short pieces of 3M two sided tape pushed down into the bottom groove to hold it until the SC did a mobile visit to fix it.

Just be sure to clean the area with isopropyl alcohol or it’ll come loose easily. The 3M tape isn’t a perfect fix but it’ll get you by until they can come by for repairs.

I had just about the same thing, to just about the same extent, on our R1S (#025XXX, built November 2023, delivered 16 Feb 2024) from sometime in May 2024 until it was fixed at Portland SC on 2024-06-27 (three days ago).

FWIW, mine didn't get worse during the time I was waiting for a Service Center appointment. YMMV.

My R1 had the same issue. Mobile service came and fixed it last week. It's starting to come off again. Started another ticket.

I had the short vertical piece on the drivers leading edge window come loose. Mobile replaced it but I’m still not happy, still seems to stick out at the top.
Mobile tech said if it does not work the whole seal will need replacing. Sigh! They already did that 2 months ago for a wind noise problem.

I think this was a more common issue on certain vin's easy fix, call rivian support get a ticket started for mobile fix
