Truck’s hotspot status?

When I read about the update it isn’t clear to me if the hotspot that is a part of the system is going to become a premium feature that I will have to pay for with connect+. Does anyone know?

It became part of the paid Rivian Connect+ last week. All current owners were put in a two month trial starting last week. (I forget the precise date.) It's unclear if new vehicles will come with the trial or not.

Edit: it was August 13th that the "two month trial" started: https://stories.rivian.com/connect-plus My app currently says my trial will expire on October 15, then I'll have to pay for it.

In the app, it specifically says "Hotspot connectivity" under "What's included:"

The key item is unlimited data on Rivian hotspot. That alone is worth the price of connect+. For my families phones, iPads, macbooks, my work computer, everything while road tripping, camping or just driving to the mountains for the day.

Sure it was free before, but on a $80K truck, $149/yr is nothing to whine about when I knew buying the truck it wasn't always going to be free. For the record Netflix/Disney+/Hulu would be killer additions one day for the back screen for entertaining the passengers back there.

I was never told we would have to pay for it someday so pretty disappointed,. If is worls as well as Alexa, I wont be paying for it.
