With the initial 8 Drive Modes at launch (plus Tire Change and Wiper Service mode), and now a 11th (Car Wash Mode) rolling out via 2022.11.2 OTA update, I'm curious what other drive modes this community can inspire Rivian to build next.

I'll plan to update this first post to include all suggestions, along with that post's upvotes (keep suggestions one per post).

Thanks to @kanundrum for first sharing that awesome Rivian Drive Modes video. If you haven't seen it yet, highly recommend widescreen viewing with volume up.

Valet Mode - All Purpose mode + max speed 55mph, acceleration reduced, lock front trunk, charge port door, gear tunnel, tonneau cover, and tailgate. Pin required to disengage mode.

Admittedly, there is no way I'm tossing my fob to valet, but figured this would get the thread and format started.

Snow/Sand/Gravel and Mud

Offroad Auto may be sufficient, but dedicated modes for these conditions would be ideal, since each has slightly different requirements for torque vectoring and traction concerns.

Trailer Auto Backup Mode - has Rivian ever mentioned this? I would not use it, but it is popular on other trucks.

Teenager mode. Similar to Valet mode, but without the security lockouts. I'm still 6 years out from needing to worry about this, but I think having capped speed (maybe custom settable so you can pick something appropriate for your area) + reduced acceleration would be great.

Could even go so far as to have an option lock out infotainment options for a learner (i.e., no radio/music/etc).

It sucks for the teenager, but I want my kid to learn to drive safely first, before they get hurt with distracted driving. The important thing is these should be optional—as a parent you need to judge your own kids abilities.

When I was 16, my parents had a 325hp 455 ci Pontiac Grand Prix. That was fairly big for a production vehicle at that time. I can vouch that teenager mode is a good idea!

Meh, just take your kid to a place that's appropriate for this stuff and teach them how to handle the car at full power and high speed. Nothing will make them more prepared for anything that might come their way then practicing at the most dangerous.

I learned to drive on a stick in an ice-covered parking lot. Way better than learning any other way, IMO. I was instantly prepared for how to deal with the worst possible driving conditions I'd face.

When my daughters learned to drive, I was running SCCA Autocross on a regular basis with a 94 BMW 325 F Street Class. One daughter was interested in it, and she refused to compete in the Women's class, she wanted to race the guys. More than once she had a top 3 finish. I'll never forget hearing the comment "Dude, that chick kicked your ass!" when the results were posted. She says to this day that was where she really learned to drive.

A highschool friend had a Coronet with a hot 440 in it.
“teenager mode” was his dad setting the throttle stop so it wouldn’t open more than halfway ?

Updated first post with current wishlist of modes and votes.

Thinking the truck may need a mode for those urban adventures. Something like:
Home Depot Mode - on approaching the vehicle the tailgate drops and tonneau retracts, all windows roll down and the Meridian sound system on volume level 25 belts out Guns N' Roses Welcome to the Jungle, as the front suspension bounces from highest to lowest setting.

They could use the pedestrian speaker to blare out some uncapped diesel exhaust noises, so everyone else can know for sure you are "one of the boys".
