My wife & I love the R1T. Only issue we have with it (from a design standpoint) is when you exit the truck from the back seats (we do this often since we have a toddler in the backseat). She always ends up rubbing her leg on the edge of the gear tunnel, or the plastic trim underneath the door sill. I've been shopping for running boards/rock sliders, but they're a bit pricey for the cost (I'm capable of building my own - came from a Jeep/rock crawling background and built my own armor). Trying to avoid that route though, because I don't have as much time as I did in my early twenties haha. My wife mentioned getting some door edge guards, but I don't think that addresses the actual problem.

Just curious about any ideas/solutions anyone else has come up with. Solution will probably be just buying/building some sliders haha.

Agreed- this is the main complaint from my teenager about the back seat.

<edit: noticed you already shopped for sliders … ignore me!>

If you’re not going to need sliders, there’s always the regular steps route, which are much cheaper. About half the price. EVSportline sells them, and a bunch of folks on the forums have positive reviews.

I’m marginally grumpy because their backorder dates are perpetual on the sliders, but steps are readily available AFAIK.

Haha, no worries dude. It's looking like sliders will have to be the way to go. I'll have to see about simple it'd be to fab my own. Hopefully steel prices ain't outrageous like everything else is nowadays haha.
