SXM needs a physical satellite receiver and a satellite antenna... the current Rivian's have neither, so SXM (direct from orbital satellites) is not possible without adding the required hardware... it's not a software thing. I'd be happy if they added the SXM app to the UI, but that won't help owners who go off grid.
I’m fine with the addition if SXM app so I don’t have to stream over BT from my phone. Lucid implemented the same. Agree, actual satellite receive would be best.

Looks like @Wassym confirmed on Reddit that rims will match the vehicle configuration in the app in a future update. ?

I wonder if this means maintaining the 12V batteries externally would essentially eliminate vampire drain. Have been wanting to play around with that but just haven't had time to.
I’m somewhat convinced that this could be a massive vampire drain release. Funny that it’s probably one of the biggest online complaints and yet folks are bored when it gets addressed.
I can't believe they still haven't done anything to make the Tidal app better.
Tidal has 2m subscribers. Apple Music has 60m. Spotify has 140m. The real question is why have they spent any time on Tidal.

It does re-center itself after a certain amount of time... (don't know if it does that if you're stationary?).
It does not re-center for me. ??‍♂

Fair! Although I think tidal did all the work. But I would definitely prefer Apple Music, too

I've only had my R1S for a week and have disabled mobile key at home and my fob is not near the car. The vehicle DEFINITELY partially wakes up on its own (no headlights but I do see the occasional tail light flash - captured on my Garage Wyzecams) multiple times a day to send HUGE amounts of data back to the mothership! In my 10 days of ownership, the vehicle has uploaded 6.2GB back to RIVIAN! What on earth is it transmitting?!?!? The vehicle wakes up 6-8 times a day (unprompted) while in the garage to transmit this data as evidenced by looking at my Eero activity for the IP assigned to the vehicle. Perhaps limiting this to 1 time a day would help with the vampire drain issues?!

You can turn off privacy setting to limit some of the telemetry uploads but you’ll loose functionality. e.g. navigation lookup and turn-by-turn. Or at least that was true a few months ago.

Sadly there are a million theories about why this is happening and what could change to fix it.

People have tried putting the car in shipping mode, turning off proximity locking, disabling videos, etc. But some smart folks have speculated that it's 12V battery management (not hackable in any way) so it gives me some hope that this could be the big fix we've been waiting for.

That said, given your avatar, I assume that you bought the Rivian because you heard that it had powerful vampire drain.

Is there a place to submit bug/feature requests? I would love if the map re-centered on it's own (like most other GPS apps) after moving around instead of having to press the "recenter" button.
I do not think most do that, my Tesla, Jeep GC, and Tahoe all required me to hit a recenter or the compass after scrolling around.

I have not seen one that does, how do they know when you are done scrolling?

Or when you're done looking at what you scrolled to. I like it not moving, sometimes it's difficult to look at the screen for very long while driving.

Either RJ uses tidal or they wrote Rivian a big check.
