Anyone else who has updated to this version, 23.30 have you seen any issues? Since the update I've noticed a few issues that are not the best experience given we just acquired the R1S. I'm hoping Rivian sees the issues and releases a fix sooner than later.

- Drive cam USB-C storage ports seems to have broke, I was sending data to a USB-C flash drive and now the car can't see the flash drive and tried plugging in a fresh SSD hard drive and again it thinks I need to plug something in, yet my computers read them no problem
- Proximity unlock from phone seems to have gone from acceptable to annoying. Previously we could walk up to the car to unlock and once we got to within a foot of the door, it would take a second or two to unlock. Now we stand at the door, give the car time to think for ~10 seconds or so then it'll unlock. I've gotten the doors unlocked faster by unlocking my phone, and using the app than the car will "sense" me.
- Press to unlock doesn't seem to work, or perhaps doing it wrong? We've tried multiple things and can't get it to function yet at all.

These are just the issues my wife and I have noticed so far. Like I said it's frustrating as we just picked the car up about 2 weeks ago and it was working well and now with the latest update it made it annoying. Overall it's still a great car and I know this is something that happens and it'll get fixed, just hoping for sooner than later.

My suggestion for anyone that hasn't upgraded, hold off unless you must have the lane change feature. Wait and see if they release a fix for these issues, or perhaps it's just an issue with ours.

Are you using the Bluetooth based phone key? Or the UWB (Apple/Google wallet) based phone key?

Bluetooth mode I’m pretty sure. I didn’t know there was a wallet key option. We both have iPhones. Do. You think wallet mode would solve it?

It's new for gen 2. Not sure if it's been enabled for software yet? Probably a question for a Rivian guide. But yes it's supposed to be much more reliable based on marketing. Supposedly it'll even work when your phone dies if you tap it to the door handle

I’m hopeful that will help, but don’t believe it’s enabled yet as I don’t see any way in the app for me to add it. Hopefully soon! I’ll reach out to the guide and see if they can help.

Defending those complaining… found a Tech Crunch article that linked to Rivian’s website from the early days.

Wanted to check myself why I thought there would be more to Driver+. Well, it’s because they said there would be

https://stories.rivian.com/time-to-build

Everything mentioned was Driver+ and not the goal post moving Rivian Autonomy Thingamabob.

In the end we got:

1) waits a bit longer to nag you to put hands on the wheel
2) cool animation when you switch lanes and Highway Assist doesn’t turn off.
3) cameras freak out less in rain and glare.

That’s it for two years of shipping vehicles.

What an incredible write up. I definitely knew they had promised the world. I wasn't even mad and had accepted it was never going to be as good as Tesla but this actually makes me a bit upset to know within a few months of receiving my vehicle I was in fact promised all of it and for free. Is this a class action waiting to happen?

You still had MPH, but above that on the screen it displayed the km/h. Also the speed limit on the screen showed as km/h. Figured I'd have to change some setting to be able to display (which I didn't want to bother with), but was cool to see it just change on the fly. It happened seconds after I crossed the border. Then when I crossed back, it was back to what it looked like originally. Related the highway assist coverage was pretty good.
This is a nice perk but what gets me is the nav doesn't change to Km.

The coolest MPH to KPH change I've seen was one speedo that had an unlabeled ring of units and when you switch units the indicator hand would auto adjust. Ie, point at 62 instead of 100. Forget what car that was on though.
