After only 2.5 months of ownership, my key fob battery required replacement. Maybe I just started with a poor battery and hopefully won't have to replace it every 2-3 months. Has anybody else needed to replace their factory fob battery?

It would be nice if the fob used wireless charging so we didn’t have to worry about battery swaps.

Our LR3 fob with switchblade-type key has a rechargeable battery that gets charged wirelessly while the key is in the ignition and the car is running.

With the card and PAAK options our fob will probably stay in our kitchen drawer with other spare keys.

The fob is the only thing that works for me. PAAK doesn't even remotely work right for me and I don't understand how you're supposed to lock the truck using the credit cards. Can't open the frunk or tailgate with the cards either. Or enter from the passenger side. But nonetheless the cards don't work through my wallet either and pulling them out everytime is stupid. Fob is all I got.

But even the FOB is super slow to recognize and about 1/4 of the time when I get in the truck tells me to present key. Of crouse with the FOB that does nothing. And then I get to play unlock / lock game for 30 seconds to minute to get the truck into READY. When I unlock the truck sometimes it takes 2-3 seconds for the handels to move. Sometimes it takes 20-25 seconds. I've complained to Rivian but so far all they've suggested was changing the battery. Which I did, and has not improved.
