No sir, Tesla implemented Plug and Charge with Rivian and other makers which was incentivized by congressional bill money to expand and open (in Teslas case) EV networks. Tesla would have lost $$$ if they didn't open up their network from the bill that gave money to expand EV networks. Rivian along with other makers just agreed to adopt the NACS standard. Tesla executed their strategy with help from their new partners. Additionally Tesla is manufacturing the adapters for their partners to send out to their customers.They implemented Plug and Charge with Tesla, it uses the exact same technology that EA uses, ISO15118. It is simply a matter of Rivian setting up a direct payment method with EA, just like they did with Tesla. The strategy is already in place.
