Rivian has issues with the HVAC assembly on some R1S (Possibly some R1T too but haven't heard for sure on those) where a crack develops in the assembly.

Then all the condensation leaks into the floor instead of following its intended path.

I was told by service that they have redesigned the part.

In my case, they wouldn't let me bring it for service for a month and then when I did they left it sit for three weeks.

My situation is not good. I will update my thread once I have resolution... It may be a while.

Did you ever get this worked out? I am taking mine in for service next week. Both driver/pass floors were wet. I didnt notice until the car smelled like mildew.

I'm still working with Rivian to resolve it. I will hopefully have an update soon.

Hi All, just discovered this issue in my R1S I took delivery less than a month ago. I only started to smell the mold a couple days ago for me to investigate. Found my floors were soaked. Worse, I pulled up the mats and found mold forming. This explains why my dad and I’ve been sick for the last two weeks! Sore throat, cough and runny nose non stop. My dad has a sinus infection. Words cant describe how furious I am.

BTW, Rivian has arranged a tow of this vehicle and gave me a rental.
