I have a 2025 R1S, Max pack, duel motor, 22's. We purchased a travel trailer and an Andersen Weight DIstribution hitch. I'm wondering is any of you experts have used this and what settings you use, i.e. just hit the trailer button and go, soft or stiff ride, etc. The trailer is about 5,500 lbs so not too light or aero, not expecting any great range but would like a good safe ride between charging stations.

Haven’t used that hitch setup but generally speaking I like normal ride height firm ride feel when towing.

Once you plug in the trailer wiring connection the truck will know your towing and you should see all the info start to populate in your trailering screen 😎

Unless there is a significant net increase in elevation the primary factor for range will be speed (60 mph is best), the ground clearance, and aero of your travel trailer.

For reference we have a coachmen 245BHS ultra lite which is about the same weight with our stuff in it. We see between 1 and 1.2 mi per kWh. If I keep speed at or below 60 mph I get closer to 1.2. If I drive 65-70 I get 1.0. I won’t attempt driving faster with the trailer hooked up.
